Athlete’s Foot is a fungal infection often appearing between the toes and on the balls of the feet.
Use preventive measures to stop this occurring in the first instance. Always wear protective footwear in public exercise places (i.e. the gym), dry the feet thoroughly especially between the toes and change the socks every day!
If really painful, separate the toes with cotton balls to reduce contact inflammation, determine the best homeopathic remedy, and bathe the feet several times a day with the mildest soap and warm water.
By repute Vinegar is a great help. Dab vinegar directly onto the affected areas each morning and evening and consider also washing the socks with a vinegar solution.
